FEATURES:
Acrylic Rotameters are precision machined from clear acrylic block and fitted with
needle valves stream lined in appearance. They are designed to give maximum
Accuracy visibility & Ruggedness.
FLOATS:
Stainless steel, Teflon, PVC or as per requirement. In bigger models guide rods
are provided for better stability.
METERING VALVE:
For Accurate flow control precision machined needle type valves are
ACCURACY:
Standard Accuracy of 1.5 to 1% at full Scale. Better accuracy on specific
requirement.
FITTINGS:
Top / Bottom or Rear as per requirement in S.S. screwed, Nozzle, with Suitable "0"
Rings to avoid leakage.
CALIBRATION:
Carried out at works individualy using air and water at standard condition. Reliable
impirical conversion, are used to calibrate for other fluids.
INSTALLATION:
Rotameter are ideal for direct Panel mounting because of their neat modular
apperance, online is also possible.

Glass Tube Rotameter are Precision flow measuing instruments designed on the "Variable Area" Rotameter basis using "TAPERED' Tubes. These instruments are suitable for service with all aviable fliuid including Acids. Alkalies Corrosive gas and origanic Solvents for Temperature upto 150° C with suitable selection of material.

 
Metering Tubes :
Extra Thick chemically Resistant annealed and stress Relivered Tapered glass.

Floates:

Suitable for all corrosive or non corrosive liquids/gases, S.S. Teflon, PVC, etc.

Fittings :

End fittings are either screwed or flanges or for hose connection.

Calibration:
Calibration is carries out Individually at works using Air and Water at standard condition, with Reliable empirical conversion for other Fluids/Gases.

Principle of measurement:

The variable area flowmeter measures the flow rate of liquids and gases in pipe lines. It contains a vertical metal tube.

with an orifice (or a conical tube which widens towards the top) through which the measured medium flows.

The float (which can move in the tube in the vertical plane) settles at a specific level, if the forces acting on it are in equilibrium, such that the weight of the float is identical to the sum of the buoyancy force and the flow force. The level of the float in the conical measuring tube is proportional to the flow rate. A magnet located in the float and a magnet follow-up system enable the float’s level in the tube to be indicated via a pointer.

A cam mechanism linearizes the flow rate. The flow rate is then read from the scale according to the pointer position.
